Environmental – General Health and Safety Policy Statement – Equal Opportunities


The profile of environmental issues is continually being raised in both the commercial and public domain.  NWPS Construction is committed to protecting the environment in which it works and to ensure that the environmental impact from its operations is kept to a minimum. Moreover, the company aims not only to comply with applicable environmental legislation but to set higher standards through dedicated training and the adoption of recognised best practice.

Particular emphasis is given to the prevention of pollution, the protection of wildlife, habitats and controlled waters. NWPS always strives to minimise the effects of noise, dust, disturbance and inconvenience to others during the course of its operations. It actively promotes the use of sustainable materials and adopts effective fuel and waste management principles.


General Health and Safety Policy Statement

It is our Company policy to ensure all possible steps are taken to ensure the health and safety of all persons who may be affected by our activities. In order to achieve this, the Company will:

  • Provide a healthy and safe working environment for its employees
  • Provide equipment that is suitable and without risks for use at work
  • Provide training, instruction, information and supervision to our employees to enable them to carry out their job competently.
  • Seek to communicate effectively on all issues concerning health and safety
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the policy, the methods and systems and by a process of constant improvement will seek to maintain high standards of health and safety
  • Review the policy as necessary and at the very least, on an annual basis
  • Liaise with and obtain health and safety advice from our external health and safety advisors

The Company recognises that the effective implementation of this policy depends on the co-operative efforts of all employees
